A concrete company that digs before it pours
Greer grew by forty-one percent in five years, almost all of it on graded red clay, and the driveways and patios that came with those houses are already cracking. We started this company around one idea: the ground under a slab decides everything, and somebody local ought to treat it that way.

Concrete is not complicated. Soil is. The Upstate sits on Piedmont red clay that swells in a wet spring, shrinks in a dry August, drains badly and, on the newer lots around Greer, was pushed into place by a grader a few years ago and has not finished settling. Pour on it without preparation and the slab moves with it. Add 40 to 60 freeze-thaw days a winter working on any water that gets into the surface, and you have the two reasons most of the concrete around here fails. Neither is a mystery. Both get skipped by crews who are paid by the yard poured rather than by the years the slab lasts.
Greer Concrete Co. is a locally run concrete contractor, not a franchise and not a lead-selling call center with a local-sounding name, booking and managing residential and commercial concrete work across Greer and the towns around it on both sides of the Greenville–Spartanburg county line. The crews who do the work carry general liability and workers' compensation insurance, and the structural jobs that South Carolina requires a registration or licence for are done under one.
What we hold to
Excavate, base, compact, then pour
Every slab, from a back-door stoop to a warehouse floor, sits on compacted crushed stone over firm ground. It is the least visible line on the estimate and the one that matters most, and we will not take it out to win a price comparison.
A written price after a real look
The estimator measures, probes the base, checks where the water goes and looks at the existing concrete before writing anything. The number is itemized, free, and holds unless the ground turns out to be different from what the probe found.
Poured for the season
Dawn starts and proper curing in summer, frost-free windows in winter, joints cut the same day, air-entrained mixes and a sealing schedule written into the estimate. The climate here is specific and the work should be too.
Honest about repair, leveling and replacement
A settled slab is lifted, not patched. A flaked slab on a sound base is resurfaced. A slab cracked by moving clay is replaced on a new base, and we say which is which on the first visit rather than sell a repair that fails next spring.
The phone gets answered
Any hour, any day. Your details are taken when you call and an estimator calls back to set a visit, usually within a working day. Crews work seven days a week when the weather allows.
